Mojo Monday # 229

Well...as it worked out..I had a little free time to make a card today. Christy went to spend the day with Robby and Liz. :) Christy had to work until noon and went to their house right from work. We have another Birthday coming up ..so I thought I would get ahead a bit and make the card. Lexi ( middle grand daughter) is a leap year baby. This year..she will only be three if we go by the day instead of the year.LOL She is actually gonna be twelve. She sure is growing up fast.:)

The color is a bit dark on this card. Not very good lighting.:( The sentiment and the candle background is actually an off white in color. The paper and strips are from DCWV The Celebration Stack. I love this pack for festive designs.:) I used decorative scissors for the bottom of the strips. Thought it needed something to spice it up a bit.:) I used a red cardstock and a Cuddlebug embossing folder with a cup cake design for one of the papers. The sentiment is a stamp from Studio G....which I raised with some pop dots. The green gems are from the bag of gems Christy gave to me. The ribbons are from Micheal's Craft store and were, I believe, on sale 3/$1.00.

Thanks for stopping by again.:)

Valinda

Mojo Monday # 227 and # 228

I did it!! I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch AND the scripture for this weeks Word Art Wednesday/Stampin Sister's in Christ!!! YAY!! I am caught up until tomorrow.LOL Credits for the papers are the same as the card below. I did use some Cuddlebug embossing folders on this one and some Recollections pearls. I used a corner punch from Fiskars and decorative cutting scissors too.Christy cut the bracket out on the cuttlebug for me and I used some Tim Holtz's distressing ink....Vintage Photo around the edges and also just on the raised parts of the embossing. Now to clean up the big mess I made while hurrying to finish these.LOL ;) Scroll down to see last weeks Mojo Monday card......

Okay..I am a day late and a dollar short.LOL Actually..this is week before last's Mojo Monday. I used a bit of my artistic license and cut out a cluster that was on one of the pages in the DCWV's Heirloom Stack of papers.Used a corner or two from another two pages from the same stack and this is what I ended up with.Even the tag is from this stack. The Sentiment is done by using Studio G's clear stamp and Christy's embossing powder. My first try at using the heat gun.Can you tell?:) The pearl swirl is from Recollections and the Amber gems are Studio 18. From Michael's Craft store.
The link to Mojo Monday's card blog is in my list on the right side of this window.Just scroll down.:)

Mojo Monday #226

YAY! I finally found time to make this weeks Mojo Monday card.:) It has been a really busy week so far. Christy took some days off of work for a mini vacation last week and then Jim took this weekend off too.:) The only reason I had time to do this card is because Jim has been working on computer stuff and I was able to get some time to myself to play with my scrapbook papers etc. It was fun to be able to do that again.:) My posts from here on out may be a bit spotty..but I will post as often as I can. Life is busy!:)

Credits:

Papers and sentiment :Colorbok Scrapbook page kits that I got from Tuesday Morning Store.

Butterfly cutout : "Elegant Butterfly" which I cut out on my Silhouette SD machine.

Fan shaped Border cutout : Flora Border by doodling debbie which I cut out on my Silhouette SD machine.

Border around square sentiment: Fiskars border punch

Pearls on Butterfly and the green gems are from the gems bag Christy gave to me a while back. I still have a bunch to play with.:)

Thanks for stopping in and please don't leave without saying Hi.:)
