Thank you ALL so much for the wonderful comments on yesterdays Christmas bulbs..I am sooo glad you like them.:) You are most welcome!!!

Well...yesterday was a busy bee day because we had a surprise Birthday party for my sister. She turned the big "50".:) We had invited around sixty people and fourty five or so turned up.The party was at her house and she had no idea.hehe Her friend took her shopping while we rushed through decorating and setting up trays and trays of food..all kinds of small sandwiches and rolled sandwiches...cheese balls with crackers..chips and dip..veggie trays...relish trays..barbecued wings which her DH made while we were setting things up...we had to raise some of the trays up onto pans or big bowls to make room on her table for all of it..then there were about five or six trays that were on tables out on her deck ..and her house was already decorated for Christmas and she does a fantastic job on decorating.:) We put the huge cake and nuts ...mints ..and punch bowl on her Kitchen Island so you could get to it from both sides...and it looked soo cool.:) My Mom wanted to do the "over the hill theme" and the cake was also done in white with black decorations.LOL
My brother and his family from Florida drove up for the weekend..and Mom had invited my sisters best friend from college (they met in college and became best friends and have remained best friends even though they live states apart) :) And ..she and her husband flew in(from Chicago) for the party and then unknown to her friend..her own parents came up from Florida to surprise her along with my sister) Cool huh?:) We were all so excited to see how my sister would react when she saw her best friend..and she sure didn't disappoint us.hehe. She was saying hi and hugging everyone and I told Donna(her friend) to inch forward and when my sister saw her she just hugged and hugged her.:) My sisters inlaws and family she hadn't seen for a while were there ..all my kids were there ...and now..I am totally exhausted.LOL I also must say that my sisters friend that lives next door to them..made all of those trays of sandwiches for her.One that was especially cool..was a huge basket with a handle and huge checkered napkins ..when you unfolded the napkins to peer into the basket..it was loaded with small hoagie sandwiches.:) I was in charge of keeping up with making the punch...and keeping the bowl full.. that was a full time job...glad they liked the punch.LOL
Well..I need to get off of here and get breakfast in me..it's late.:)
